Medical Training and Education in Türkiye

Cornerstone Global Youth Foundation was blessed to be able to present medical terminology and first aid training to a group of bright young college students from Antalya Türkiye through the Akdeniz University. 

The project "A Voice in time of Disaster" focused on preparing English speaking Turkish college students to assist in natural disasters. The education focused on medical terminology, triage, and immediate first aid care. The students who attended the three day camp were amazingly intelligent and such a joy to spend time with. We made many new friends and were able to help each other grow and learn. I am so excited about the future of the brilliant young college students in Türkiye. 

The history of the project dates back to the earthquake disasters in 2023. We were able to assist with the disaster relief efforts in Türkiye by helping with medical aid in one of the tent cities. While there we were able to make many new friends who voluntarily translated for us to help care for those who needed medical care after the disaster. 

One of our good friends, Abdurrahman had a vision of helping other college students prepare themselves for translation efforts for the next disaster if one should come. Through his efforts the project was a raving success. We are so honored to be able to be a part of such a wonderful project that has the potential to change so many lives.
